This is a quick and easy meal using pork loin and canned pears with fresh ginger root. Watch the video of the zoom Cooking Fun with Joanna class so you can follow along as we make this meal.
1 pound of pork chops or tenderloin (you can substitute tofu, Quorn or other vegan option, or turkey)
1-2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar (I prefer the raw kind)
2/3 cup dry white wine
1 cup broth – vegetable or chicken or use the juice from the canned pears
1 firm but ripe pear, or 1 can of pear halves in its own juice (this is what i will be doing)
1-2 inches of ginger root 6 scallions also known as spring or green onions
1 tbsp ghee if you have it, or butter
1-2 tbsp olive oil sea salt
2 tspn cornstarch or potato starch (i will use potato)
You will need a good cutting knife and/or chopping knife cutting boards (you may need to wash them in between…)
1 large frying pan (maybe 2)
It is real and it is fun!
