This past week and last week, I felt like I need to do what I need to do ground myself every day. There is a lot of stress and disharmony in the world and I realize – I have no control over that. I need to stay grounded so I can be my best!
Yoga and riding and swimming all help to ground me.
But every day I may need a different way to get grounded and connect to who I am. Staying grounded helps me be my best with my clients and in life.
Last week I did yoga 3 days in a row.
What happens when I am (or you are) grounded?
When I am grounded, I am less reactive.
I cope and deal with things better.
I can respond from a place of love and understanding rather than be triggered and reacting which can cause anger and misunderstandings.
This perpetuates stress and often stress eating for comfort.

I was able to get some stretching I have not been able to do in 3 years.
Now, how that will feel later or tomorrow or when i get on the bike…we’ll see. But for now, I feel like I stayed grounded. Ah or OM!
I love my challenging classes that I do and the ways I challenge my body, my mind and my soul so I can make progress towards my whole body health goals.
These challenge me to stay grounded, too so I can focus on what I need to do now or next. I can enjoy where I am and what it is I am doing. As an athlete, I like being competitive yet sometimes, being competitive with finding my calm is what I need to do!

Today I am thankful I have found options for grounding myself.

I am thankful that I am feeling increased range of motion in my hip and keep moving forward. This brings me joy with less pain….and I can share all this insight and grounding techniques this with YOU!
I am thankful I also perfected the anti-inflammatory diet so I can help high performance athletes and super-moms release their pain.
Yet, without staying grounded, you may not feel the full benefit or be able to really enjoy your life and sport to the extent possible.
