Tomorrow I start the 2 Week Detox plan to see if this will help eliminate my pain the 2 weeks before hip surgery. 2 weeks before surgery, I have to stop taking my anti-inflammatory supplements which have helped me immensely the past few months. Even though I get more pain when the weather suddenly gets cold, it is about to rain, or if I eat sugar, wheat or dairy. These have all proven to increase inflammation, and all were also identified as contributing to my hip pain using Nutrition Response Testing. But with no fish oils or Inflavanoid IC and no Advil option, I have to try to be pain free with my Detox Plan.
This past week I have been trying to eliminate more of the inflammatory foods, and increase anti-inflammatory ones. In my juice today, I juiced more ginger than usual and added both daikon radish and turmeric root (that is in the Inflavanoid IC). They are on the middle and left of photo on left.
I think it helped, as I took even less Advil today than I did yesterday. And usually after a day where I swim in the morning, my hip gets cranky yet again.
I will keep you posted on the progress, as today I did take my last dose of supplements, and tomorrow we shall see if adding the turmeric will be enough or whether I have to be even more diligent with the detox plan than I ever have been before. It is alkalizing, too which will help lower inflammation.
