Why am I so tired?
Seems to be a common question. It is a common issue I work with when working with clients. Heck, I went through my own adrenal exhaustion so I know a few reasons why you are tired. There is a connection between stress, how you feel and how you eat, move and sleep.
If you wake up late every morning and feel tired vs refreshed, you will choose more quick energy foods.
This usually includes bread like products – cookies, bagels, muffins, etc.
This will give you short bursts of energy, yet you will be hungry again a few hours later. Grab some coffee and whatever goes with coffee…cookie, muffin, scone. And the cycle repeats. Short bursts of energy but you will wonder Why am I so tired?
Over time, you get more tired, start feeling grump, moody and lethargic.
Why?
It may be you need a new routine regarding sleep.
It may be you need to balance the blood sugar better with balanced meals.
It may be stress and your reactions to stress.
It may be an emotional or energetic issue that needs release with emotional release techniques…because this is what is causing the stress.
Is it too much training? No training?
Is it that you are giving to everyone else but yourself?
It may be some of each or something else….but which to work on first?
Where to start?
Start by paying attention to how you eat, move and sleep.
Start by paying attention to the stress in your life and how you react to the stress. Is it emotional stress? Physical stress? Environmental stress? Psycho-spiritual stress or imbalance?
To your adrenals, it is all stress.
You need to find new ways to heal the emotions related to the stress, choose foods differently to help balance the blood sugar and foods to alleviate stress, and you need to find movement that makes your heart sing (unlike running on a treadmill which I call the dreadmill). You may need to work with someone besides yourself to help with finding the root cause of your fatigue.
I work with you to help identify what the cause of your fatigue is. If it is a balancing blood sugar issue, I help you understand how your current plan is not working for you and why. I help you make adjustments so it becomes your natural way of nourishing your body.
If it is sleep issues, we help you work through your schedule so you can get to bed a bit earlier, improve the quality of that sleep so you feel refreshed in the morning. You won’t be asking “Why am I so tired??” after a few sessions!
We also work on the stress and help heal the emotional and mental stress issues with tools for mindfulness, deep breathing and new ways of thinking about situations you are experiencing.
